New York K-9 Training strives to
take K-9 training beyond the boundaries of conventional dog training by
utilizing unique training techniques. We train by nurturing constant and free
communication between dog and handler to form a mutual bond. This bond compels
the dog to perform to please, rather than compulsively performing to avoid
punishment.
Dogs can’t speak,
but they can understand words and word association, with some experts
estimating upwards of 200 words. Dogs however, are experts at reading body
language. At New York K-9 Training we teach dog/handler communication by making you more adept at reading and displaying body language, while at the same time making
your dog more intuitive at listening to the human voice (as this is a “new” form
of communication for them).
The end product of this type of training is a dog which is happy to work for
its handlers’ praise and affection because they understand what is expected of
them, without any confusion.
THE END RESULT…A MUTUAL BOND WITH GREAT COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A DOG AND A HANDLER!!!
